Adult Protective Services:

Mariposa County Adult Protective Services (APS) is dedicated to promoting the health, safety, and dignity of adults aged 65 and older, and disabled adults aged 18 and older.  The goal of the APS Program is to prevent and remedy the abuse and/or neglect of those unable to protect their own interests.


Adult Protective Services provides a 24-hour, 7-day a week emergency response service to receive reports of abuse.  Adult Protective Services evaluates all allegations of abuse and neglect to determine an ppropriate and timely response.


Adult Protective Services is designed to link clients with needed services provided by other public, private, and community based organizations.  Adult Protective Services will advocate for clients to reduce the risk of abuse and the fear of abuse.
